Current status (18 October 2026)
- On 18 October 2026, seacrestmarkets.io showed only a notice saying that "Seacrest Markets is no longer operating". The notice is not dated.
- myfundedfx.com now redirects to that notice. seacrestfunded.com no longer leads to a Seacrest page.
- We have found no announcement that Seacrest Markets or its prop-trading programme has reopened.
Names, websites and companies
- MyFundedFX was the original name of the prop-trading programme (myfundedfx.com). Seacrest's company history dates its founding to 1 June 2022.
- Seacrest Funded is the name MyFundedFX took on 11 February 2025, according to the same history.
- Seacrest Markets is the CFD brokerage the company launched on 9 January 2025 (seacrestmarkets.io). The history lists "Seacrest Funded & Seacrest Markets Merge" on 17 October 2025. We have not verified what this merger involved legally.
- The closure notice says seacrestmarkets.io is owned and operated by Seacrest Markets (PTY) Ltd, a South African company (registration number 2023/703336/07). It also names MyFunded Capital Solutions Ltd, a Cypriot company, as the merchant and seller of services.
- Seacrest Markets says it is authorised by South Africa's Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) under licence number 53315. We have not checked this with the FSCA.
- We have not established which company ran the prop-trading programme at each stage.
Our catalogue history
- Seacrest Markets, Seacrest Funded and MyFundedFX have never been listed on LegitPropFirm.

- We include them because traders may still come across these names.

The prop-trading closure (February 2026)
- Seacrest's help-centre article "Seacrest Prop Trading Programs" (archived copy of 10 March 2026) said that:
- Seacrest "officially closed" its prop-trading business on 6 February 2026;
- it would concentrate on its CFD brokerage;
- "all eligible active clients and affiliates received a full refund of their challenge fees and payouts". This is the company's statement; we have not independently verified that these refunds and payouts were completed.
- Finance Magnates reported on 4 February 2026 that, according to Seacrest:
- all prop-trading accounts and open positions would be closed on 6 February 2026;
- holders of active challenge accounts that had not breached the rules could request a full refund of their challenge fee, using a refund form, by 28 February 2026;
- funded account holders could request their final payout from their dashboard by the same date;
- giveaway accounts and breached or inactive accounts were not eligible for refunds.
- These request deadlines expired on 28 February 2026.
- We have not obtained Seacrest's original February announcement. For these terms we rely on Finance Magnates' report.
The closure of Seacrest Markets as a whole
- After the prop-trading closure, Seacrest said it would continue as a CFD brokerage. An archived copy of 22 April 2026 still shows the brokerage website.
- The current notice says Seacrest Markets "is no longer operating". It is not dated, and gives no reason.
- The earliest archived copy we found is dated 17 May 2026. We do not know when, or why, the brokerage stopped operating.
What is confirmed and what is not
- Company statement: Seacrest says it closed its prop-trading business on 6 February 2026, and that eligible active clients and affiliates were fully refunded. We cannot verify the refunds.
- Reported: the refund and payout request terms and the 28 February 2026 deadline, as reported by Finance Magnates.
- Observed by us: Seacrest's website shows a notice that it is no longer operating, and myfundedfx.com redirects to it.
- Not known to us:
- whether every refund and payout request was paid;
- when and why Seacrest Markets as a whole stopped operating;
- which company ran the prop-trading programme at each stage;
- the current status of the licence Seacrest Markets says it held.
